Swimming

Abuelita stood Sophia on one side of the jacuzzi and Sophia swam all by herself to the other side. Her mouth and nose would go underwater, but she kept afloat till she reached Abuelita. She did it over and over and over again...she loved it.

In the Jacuzzi

Sophia and Abuelita spent an hour or so hanging out in the jacuzzi while Memo took photos. Sophia LOVED swimming in the bubbles and snacking on grapes and strawberries. She was very comfortable in the water, trying to duck her head underwater all by herself. She slowly got the hang of swimming, and then we put the floaties on...and she really GOT IT!

Yesterday, we attended Susan's Baby Shower (Due May 1). Sophia loved picking all the flowers and putting them in the fountain. Also, a little photo of Sophia picking on Abuelito, telling him, "Abuelito, no nap! Suns up!"

Celebrating Sophia's Birthday

Pre-Party Activities

Today, we celebrated Sophia's Birthday (kind of a last minute plan). We had so much to do this afternoon! Sidewalk chalk, an Easter Egg hunt, gardening, giving Chulo a bath and playing with bubbles with Jereme. Sophia had such a busy afternoon even before we had dinner and a Birthday cake.

Dishwasher Table

This photo was mostly taken in honor of Priscilla and Lucas who were forced to eat at the dishwasher table growing up. They were so messy and mom never had time to clean up after them. :) Okay, Okay...I think Leia was apart of the messy eaters too or maybe she just enjoyed their company. I wish I had a photo to put up there to compare. Sophia was just eating ice (not messy), but Abuelita still has a programmed instinct to stick toddlers on the dishwasher table.

Wednesday

This afternoon, we spent outside at the farm and in the backyard playing in the dirt (once again). Sophia has found quite the friend in Chulo, Abuelita's puppy. She follows him everywhere and he actually finds her pretty interesting too.

Here are a couple more photos from working on the farm with Abuelito. So far, Sophia always asks where Abuelito is and wants to go feed the cows. She is so happy to be outside at the farm getting dirty.

A Day on the Farm

What a LONG day! Sophia had so much fun at the farm today, it was hard to get back to the house! She kept saying, "Sophie help Abuelito!" She loved watering the trees and getting dirt under her nails.
